More than 3,200 businesses have submitted applications for subsidies in a scheme to support purchases of EVs, the Energy Affairs Ministry said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The companies have applied for about half of the HUF 30 bln of available subsidies to purchase around 3,900 EVs.
Businesses may apply for grants of between HUF 2.8m and HUF 4m per vehicle, depending on battery capacity, in the program funded by the European Union's REPowerEU.
The scheme runs until March 2025.
